(Yicai) July 1 -- Pudong International Airport in Shanghai has begun trial operations of a one-stop integrated service center for inbound international passengers at Terminal 2 to facilitate foreigners' stay in the city.
The center, which opened on June 29, offers one-stop payment, cultural tourism, communication, and transportation services, Shanghai's special economic zone Pudong New Area announced yesterday.
The payment service desk helps foreigners with smooth payment channels, including mobile payment application download assistance and currency exchange guidance. In addition, there are ATMs and self-service currency exchange machines supporting five major international bank cards and 20 foreign currencies.
The communication service desk provides seven-day, 15-day, and 30-day mobile cards to international passengers coming to Shanghai on a short-term stay, allowing them to make calls, surf the internet, and use taxi and takeaway apps.
The transportation service desk provides travel consultation and sells, recharges, and refunds anonymous ShanghaiPass cards. The cards can be used for traveling and at cultural and tourism venues, shopping malls, and supermarkets in the city.
The cultural tourism service desk offers the latest information on activities in Shanghai, promotes travel plans, and provides guidance on accommodations.
One-stop integrated service centers for foreigners at Terminal 1 of Pudong Airport and Hongqiao International Airport are under construction and scheduled to open in October.
