(Yicai Global) Jan. 3 -- Risesun Real Estate Development Co. plans to team up with the Asia Fortune Forum, a gathering of business leaders and diplomats, to boost the tourism and culture sectors in Southwest China.
The firm's controlling unit, Risesun Kanglv Huangshan Investment Co., penned an agreement with the AFF's trademark holder on Dec. 31, the real estate company said in a statement yesterday afternoon.
Risesun and the forum will work together in Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces, Tibet autonomous region and Chongqing municipality, it added, including investing in equity in a township project on the west bank of Dianchi Lake in Kunming, Yunnan's capital.
The World Travel and Tourism Council ranked Chongqing as the fastest developing city for tourism in Asia after a 14-percent annual rise in the sector, US-based CNBC reported in October. Chengdu, in Sichuan province, also made the top 10 after expanding 11.2 percent.
Founded in 2008 under guidance from Asian governments and Chinese ministries, the AFF is a high-end exchange for economic, cultural and business cooperation between Asia and the rest of the world.
