(Yicai Global) June 29 -- China's largest e-commerce firm JD.Com has teamed up with CTS International Logistics to offer warehousing and delivery services for cross-border online retailers.

CTS and JD subsidiary Beijing Jingbangda Trading signed the deal yesterday, the Shanghai-based logistics firm said in a statement the same day. The pair will leverage CTS's transport resources, economies of scale and customs declaration services to offer cross-border deliveries by air, rail, sea and road, the statement added.

JD puts logistics at the forefront of its e-commerce services, and is known for its work with unmanned delivery drones and other innovative practices. Last month it purchased a 10-percent stake in warehouse partner China Logistics Property Holdings for USD115 million, becoming its third-largest shareholder as it looks to have a say in the development of CLP's delivery network.

In the latest deal, JD will provide technical services like warehouse planning and management and data administration, while CTS will use Jingbangda's cloud warehouse service last-mile distribution networks, it added.
