(Yicai) July 3 -- 25 new humanoid robots will be exhibited in a special exhibition zone at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance, which kicks off tomorrow.
Humanoid robots are the focus of the three-day exhibition, Yicai learned from the organizing committee during a media exploration event yesterday. Tesla will debut the Optimus Gen 2, the next generation of its humanoid robot, also known as the Tesla Bot.
The National and Local Co-Built Humanoid Robotics Innovation Center will release Qinglong, the world's first full-size public version of a humanoid robot, China's first open-source community for full-size humanoid robots, and display its latest products.
The exhibition focuses on core technology, intelligent terminals, and use empowerments, showcasing the latest achievements in large models, computing power, robots, and autonomous driving technology, according to the organizing committee. More than 500 companies will participate, with over half from outside Shanghai or China, while the number of exhibits will exceed 1,500.
Leading Chinese tech firms, including Baidu, Alibaba Group Holding, Tencent Holdings, Huawei Technologies, and SenseTime, China's three major telecoms operators, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, and "cutting-edge forces" such as Minimax and Baichuan AI, will display various types of AI models at the event.
In the WAIC Autonomous Driving Experience Zone outside the exhibition hall, visitors can try the Level-4 Robotaxi fleet of Chinese auto giant SAIC Motor and experience unmanned driving technology.
